MUSIC MINISTRY
Historically, the Methodist Church was built on a solid foundation of music, beginning with the founder of the Methodist movement, John Wesley and his brother Charles. Music at Toccoa First is under the direction of Ken White, Music Pastor.
Traditional worship at Toccoa First features music and hymns of the classic sacred music.
The Alternative offers contemporary praise music performed by a praise band.
Periodically a concert of praise and worship with choir, handbells and symphony orchestra is presented
in the Sanctuary. Advent and Easter always feature special music.
SINGERS and BELL RINGERS are welcome to join the bell and chancel choirs. Music is under the direction of Ken White. We offer several different musical ensembles, including a contemporary praise band, chancel choir, children's choir and handbell choir.

PRAISE BAND
Our Praise brand leads worship for The Alternative, the 8:30 contemporary worship service, on Sunday mornings.

KINGDOM MEN'S CHORALE & WORSHIP ENSEMBLE
The Kingdom Men's Chorale performs at various events and is conducted by Director Ken White.

HANDBELL CHOIR
The handbell choir, under direction of Ken White, periodically provides special music at our 11:00 traditional service as well as at special events, including Symphony Sundays, Christmas and Easter programs. If you are interested in joining, call the church office to talk to Director White.
CHILDREN'S CHOIR
Our children are given the opportunity to sing (and sometimes play bells) for the congregation. All children are welcome to participate in the children's choir, which practices on Sunday mornings during the Sunday School hour (9:45 am) and Wednesday evenings during the JAM program (6 pm). We are currently expanding our children's choir and encourage children to come and sing!
Special Sundays throughout the year
are designated "Symphony Sundays".

Chancel & Hand Bell Choirs are joined by A-List Professional Symphony Orchestra musicians and perform musical programs under the direction of Ken White, Music Ministry Pastor.
​
Previous Symphony Sunday performances have occurred in February as well as on Easter and the week prior to Christmas. In 2025,
the Christmas Cantata of Joy" was performed in the Sanctuary.
